SPENCER – Bedford North Lawrence exploded for six first-half goals while conquering Owen Valley 7-3 on Tuesday afternoon.
Alex Becker and Zach Bradshaw scored two goals apiece as the Stars (7-4-1) won for the fifth time in the last six starts.
“We were able to pick up the pace of play throughout the game,” BNL coach Logan Jackson said. “We were able to move the ball nicely, and with a purpose. Overall, I was happy with the game.”
Cameron Anderson got the Stars rolling with a goal off Hunter Cline’s pass at 33:58. Cline scored (via a Bradshaw assist) at 28:34. After the first Owen Valley goal at 23:05, BNL took off with goals from Becker (a free kick from 30 yards at 19:23), Bradshaw (19:07), Seth Sherfick (11:42) and Bradshaw again (3:38).
The Patriots struck twice midway through the second half before Becker added his final goal. BNL had a 24-7 advantage in shots.
The Stars will visit Floyd Central (a rescheduled Hoosier Hills Conference game from Aug. 20) on Thursday.
