Jaclyn Dufresne was always around the net during her senior season at Bedford North Lawrence.

Dufresne, a force in soccer and tennis, was named’s third Female Athlete of the Year. She was named the All-Hoosier Hills Conference goalkeeper for the second straight season as the Stars finished 10-5-3.

She also showed her versatility, joining the tennis team for the first time during her senior year. She proved to be a natural in doubles, pouncing on shots at the net.

Dufresne had competition for the top honor within her own house, as younger sister Jenna was a two-sport in volleyball and softball, earning All-HHC distinction in softball while hitting .379 with 4 triples and 29 runs scored.

Other notable performers included Megan Lambrecht (softball and track), Tristin Day (volleyball and softball), Zoe Zollman (cross country, swimming, track), McKenzie Messmore (basketball and tennis), Jorie Allen (basketball), Erin Bradley (basketball), Alyssa Spears (volleyball), Kat Emery (soccer) and Morgan Lambrecht (softball).

Bret Roberts, a three-sport standout during her senior year in 2014, was the first recipient of the honor, while basketball and track star Dominique McBryde won the award in 2015. will also name a boys Athlete of the Year and Coach of the Year.
