SEYMOUR – Bedford North Lawrence finished sixth in the Hoosier Hills Conference meet at Seymour on Saturday afternoon.
The Stars totaled 85 points. Floyd Central won the event with 350, edging defending Jeffersonville (332) for its 12th overall league title and the fourth in the last five years.
BNL’s best finish was posted by freshman Sidney Carlile, who was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:07.00. The Stars also finished fifth in the 400 relay and 200 medley relay.
“I was very pleased with all the girls’ efforts today,” BNL coach Terry Tlustek said. “They have to keep in perspective that they have progressed from last season and have raised their own personal bar. This is all about bettering themselves, and they are doing it even though there have been some minor setbacks.”
