SCOTTSBURG – Scottsburg swept the doubles en route to a 3-2 victory over Bedford North Lawrence on Tuesday afternoon, ending BNL’s six-match winning streak.

The Warriors dominated doubles as Camden Jones and Isaiah Walker rolled past Alex East and Corbin Bushey 6-2, 6-1 at No.1. Mar Hays and Malachi Carr disposed of Isaac Titche and Christopher Kidd 6-2, 6-2 at No.2.

“The doubles need a reboot,” BNL coach Donnie Thomas said.

The Stars (11-4) recorded their wins in the lower singles. Brandt Callahan (now 12-3) fought off Caleb White 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 at No.2, and Logan Bland-Chastain (11-4) cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Mason Noble at No.3.

“Brandt played solid again,” Thomas said. “Logan played extremely well, his serving was setting up the point and he made good passing shots.”

Scottsburg won No.1 singles as Isaac Everitt defeated Ian Dillman 6-4, 6-0.
